I get the appeal of seafood, okay? I really do. I lived in New Zealand for half my life, surrounded by some of the best seafood in the world. I gorged on fresh scallops, oysters and prawns on a regular basis. My neighbours totally hate me. Every day, they're subjected to a shrill whirring that not even a heavy kitchen door can muffle. This irritating noise is preceded by the sounds of chopping and grating, with the occasional 'ouch!' when I over-enthusiastically slice my finger.
